Governor Greg Abbott was given the distinction of “Statesman of the Year” at the Citizen/Statesman Dinner sponsored by the Nacogdoches County Republican Party. Governor Abbott was unable to attend the event because of the untimely arrival of Hurricane Harvey to the shores of Texas. The Lone Star Summit recently held in Nacogdoches was the perfect opportunity to present Governor Abbott with this award. Pattye Greer was the “Citizen of the Year”, and was in attendance for the Governor to receive his award.
